CASE STUDY: A CONSUMER GOODS COMPANY
A tobacco company wanted to adopt new technologies and create new products to cater to its existing customers. To gather more data on its requirements, it hired a few service firms and consultants and sought their inputs. Unfortunately, the results weren’t quite what they expected. The report didn’t include many technologies, and there were no numbers to back the conclusive statements. Finally, the data didn’t have any relevant technologies from other industries that could be implemented to create valuable products for its customers.
While reflecting on how to address its concerns, the leadership in the innovation team learned about the multiple products Relecura offered to address patent and innovation concerns. After exploring the company’s IP functionalities, they decided that the best way to resolve the issue was to use the semantic relationships found on the Relecura platform to find relevant technologies both from within and outside the industry.
Interestingly, the search revealed a host of technologies within the industry and from other industries that could be used to manufacture the company's newer products. The list of technologies helped the company create a more extensive technology roadmap. In the end, the Relecura platform was able to collect the full stack of technologies that could be explored for further developments or adopted for product development.
Relecura has a range of products and services that have been created after deliberating on the issues companies are likely to face when dealing with the IP and technology space. This organization needed technologies in the tobacco and other industries to create valuable products for its customers that could be tracked for further developments or adopted when required.
