Virtual Reality (VR) is extensively used in gaming, entertainment, training, and education, apart from its medical applications. This report assesses the commercialization viability of Intellectual Property assets related to VR technology. We’ve studied the overall landscape of Virtual Reality IP assets including major patent holders and recorded transactions. In addition, we’ve identified assignees in this technology, in medical as well as gaming applications. Through this study, we were also able to arrive at a list of potential licenses or buyers of VR-related IP assets.
