Smart Grid Patents – Landscape Analysis

This report contains a preliminary survey of the Smart Grid assignee landscape and a first-cut identification of patent asset holders in the smart grid technology area. We break out the various sub-technologies related to smart grids and list the relevant IPC codes for each of them. We identify potential licensees for each of the sub-technologies, as well as small to medium-sized IP portfolios for potential acquisition.
